Norwich Hockey Club was established in 2021 to create an elite secondary hockey program for boys and girls from Connecticut and beyond. Our goal is to grow the game of hockey and provide opportunities for student-athletes to compete at a high level while studying at a high school that provides unparalleled opportunities with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Norwich Hockey Club began play with a U18 AAA boys team in September 2022. In its second season, 2023, the team captured the United Tier 1 Hockey League championship. The team also competed in the USA Hockey National Championships in Pennsylvania. Original members of NHC have signed commitment letters to continue their hockey journey at advanced levels of play. 

A girls program, set to begin play in the fall of 2025, was announced in 2024. This is the next step in our plan to grow the game in this area and provide student athletes with an outstanding opportunity to play at a higher level and attend a school with unparalleled opportunities.

Norwich Hockey Club players will pursue their  high school diploma at Norwich Free Academy, an independent school established more than 160 years ago.
